Little Treasures Week 3 - Ashwagandha, Adrenals and Ayurveda.

Each week I find all sorts of little treasures online and offline that I want to share with you, the must-read articles, the news everyone must know about, the new green brands, quotes, books, but also beautiful handmade products or inspiring people.

You can find them here, in our weekly posts called
Little Treasures.

Ashwagandha, one of the most popular Ayurvedic herbs used in the Western world, is seriously rocking my world lately. This adaptogenic herb helps you modulate your response to stress or a changing environment, which makes it the perfect herb for those wanderlusters amongst us! I've started adding a teaspoon to my golden milk recipe because it helps with calming down at night, but I'm finding out that it has so many other amazing benefits.

Improves thyroid function, Treats adrenal fatigue, Reduces anxiety and depression, Combats effects of stress, Increases stamina and endurance, Prevents and treat cancer, Reduces brain cell degeneration, Stabilises blood sugar, Boosts immunity

If you experience any form of stress in your life, and lets be honest, we all do, then do some research on this herb.

I'm doing an adrenal reset this month which means no coffee...did you hear that...no coffee. So unfortunately Denby's recent Turmeric Coffee will have to wait. But for all of you lucky coffee drinkers out there check out this delicious healthy coffee recipe!

These words + an Ayurvedic Breakfast Porridge Recipe by Claire Ragozzino : "In Ayurveda, it is said that it is more important how you eat, rather than exactly what you eat. A meal prepared in a loving, peaceful way contains more prana than one that has been prepared in anger or discord. Equally, a meal shared in gratitude has a sattvic effect on the body and mind.  Taking from the old adage “you are what you eat”, wouldn’t you want to eat a meal that promotes inner peace and harmony?"
